The Farfarà Waterfall

The Farfarà Waterfall is located along the Verde stream, near the town of Cervara and the nearby Lake Verde. It is named after a hamlet of nearby farmhouses surrounded by nature. These particular farmhouses are old stone mountain huts built in dry stone walls, called Farfarà. The waterfall is situated along the Via degli Abati route, an ancient path used by monks from Piacenza since the early Middle Ages, which connected the ancient monastery of Bobbio in the province of Piacenza to Pontremoli. This picturesque waterfall is one of the tallest in all of Lunigiana, with a drop of over 30 metres.
