The Piscio waterfall
The Piscio waterfall, or Piscio di Pracchiola, immersed in the enchanting setting of the woods of the Valdantena valley, is an incredible spectacle: with a drop of about 20 metres the water of the river flows into a small serenity-pool at the bottom, where in summer, it is possible to bathe.
The Piscio waterfall is located near the village of Pracchiola, at around 672 m above sea level, a few kilometres from the Cirone Pass, in the upper course of the Magra river, right in the valley that bears the name of Valdantena.
Starting from its source which is located on Monte Borgognone and heading downstream, the Magra river is characterised by a torrential flow, made up of numerous streams that descend from the side valleys and several waterfalls, before settling down just before the village of Pontremoli.
